2011 email message
It was just about 10 years ago that I was in Sioux City on business. I
was pregnant with my 4th child, in treatment for an anxiety disorder, and
dealing with serious marital trouble when I was invited by a business associate
to visit Trinity Heights. It was just a few weeks after the terrorist attacks.
I spent the afternoon strolling the garden, admiring the shrines, browsing
the gift shop. I saw the alumni photos, and of course the Last Supper sculpture.
I must have shredded half a box of Kleenex while I was there (anxiety disorder,
remember?), but after spending the afternoon meditating, praying, and just
taking it all in, I actually felt like some of the weight had been lifted
off me. Being there brought me more peace than I'd known in years. It's
like peace permeates the entire grounds.
Thank you.
By the way- I'm not a Catholic, nor any other Christian denomination.
I'm not certain if that adds or detracts from my testimony, but thought
you should know.
Bright Blessings,
Lisa
Dear Trinity Heights,
We want to thank you so very much for your hospitality on Wednesday
June 9th, when we came for the tour. On the ride home the
residents were so uplifted, they commented how peaceful and
happy they felt. What an
extraordinarily beautiful and spiritual space you have created.
The tour, movie and carved displays were so much more than
we expected. Your staff
was courteous and well informed. In the many years of being
involved with activities - this was a real highlight.

Dear Trinity Heights,
I am from Louisiana and I visited Trinity Heights today, June
20, 2010. I was moved to tears at the beauty and spirituality of it.
Truly amazing.

Dear Trinity Heights,
Thank you for your hospitality and the wood sculptures of the
Last Supper. It is breath taking to view such a beautiful masterpiece.
Our bus group was most impressed with the carvings and beautiful grounds.
Again, thank you!

Dear Trinity Heights,
Everybody noted the massive, yet personable statues of Mary
and Jesus that seemed to look right at each of us. The carving
of The Last Supper, the re-creations of Marian apparitions, statues of
the saints,
and the grounds itself were mentioned by many. Several were
especially impressed by the burlap image of Jesus, and the Adoration Chapel
with
the relic of Saint Faustina.
Our meditation on the Way of the Cross on Saturday
afternoon, and the Rosary on Sunday morning, were moving… As
you know, one couple among us felt so moved, they purchased
a sponsorship plaque.
Quotes I heard on the ride home included:
"What a treasure they have at Trinity
Heights"
"It was so peaceful. So beautiful. So well maintained." |
|
"Was it just me, or did you feel a strong grace there?"
And
from a 10-year-old pilgrim — after walking among the saints,
praying in the Adoration Chapel, and
standing beneath Jesus and Mary, "I feel like I've been
to Heaven and back."
